well hello there. is anyone still reading? i know, i know, it's been a while...
been flying around like a crazy lady here, albeit with a mound the size of a pillow stuffed inside my stomach. not often the most useful combination. i've jumped on the bandwagon in painting my lounge dark and don't mind admitting i really like it. a dark room requires a dark biscuit so it's all go here on the oreo's.
strangely for the past few flower deliveries someone has snuck some mimosa into the box despite me never ordering it. i have no idea why. i'm not even the most ardent fan. perhaps whoever is doing it possibly knows something i don't.
i've been partaking in exciting correspondence for some adventurous london projects and am dreaming of moving back there for work despite the actual likelihood of that happening being slim to none...
did you read this wonderful interview with emily thompson? i urge you to if you haven't yet. also if you like cauliflower then this recipe is quite the thing.

Oh the top picture is one of my favourite paintings. My friend Caroline has a copy and I just love it. I found one in my local auction house a couple of months ago but was outbid.
ReplyDeleteGood find!
Thank you for the ET interview. We're painting darker too..but not that dark!!! That's a brave and beautiful color.
ReplyDeleteMimosa? How could you not love it? Lovely fragrance and so very french. I used to be put off by the yellowness of it all but the fragrance always wins me over....as a little girl my Mother used to order Mimosa from France and it arrived in huge wicker baskets...the fragrance when we opened the baskets was glorious...that's me, a life long fan!
ReplyDeleteit does smell good. i love the idea of it in big wicker baskets...
