plant off
i've been plant shopping this weekend for a mega-job. it's a close-run race as to which i love more: ribbon or plant shopping. both make me squeal with delight.
british summer time is here campers! i'm heading to london sans enfants in a couple of weeks for some exciting meetings and to hang out with friends, visit galleries and get a much-needed big city blast. can't wait.
also i realise that the first couple of minutes are a little bit like a dubious perfume-ad, but if you can get past that then this documentary on mr. tom ford is quite fascinating and well worth a watch (via fiona leahy's twitterfeed).

hellebores et al
just in case the world really needed anymore dark and moody shots of flowers: some outtakes from the weekend. in my defence it was very early in the morning.
i've had an unexpected spike in traffic from the US behemoth that is bhldn, due to this lovely interview from everyone's favourite gal amy merrick. delighted to get a mention - thanks so much amy!

news from the frontline
well hello there. is anyone still reading? i know, i know, it's been a while...
been flying around like a crazy lady here, albeit with a mound the size of a pillow stuffed inside my stomach. not often the most useful combination. i've jumped on the bandwagon in painting my lounge dark and don't mind admitting i really like it. a dark room requires a dark biscuit so it's all go here on the oreo's.
strangely for the past few flower deliveries someone has snuck some mimosa into the box despite me never ordering it. i have no idea why. i'm not even the most ardent fan. perhaps whoever is doing it possibly knows something i don't.
i've been partaking in exciting correspondence for some adventurous london projects and am dreaming of moving back there for work despite the actual likelihood of that happening being slim to none...
did you read this wonderful interview with emily thompson? i urge you to if you haven't yet. also if you like cauliflower then this recipe is quite the thing.
